સ્થાનિક કાઉન્સિલર દ્વારા રસ્તા બાબતે પાલિકામાં વારંવાર રજુઆત કરવા છત્તા રસ્તાઓ ન બનતા સ્થાનિક લોકોમાં ભારે નારાજગી જોવા મળી હતી. જેથી શહેરના અબ્રામા વિસ્તારમાં સ્થાનિક લોકોએ વિધાનસભાની ચૂંટણીનો બહિષ્કાર સાથેના બેનર લગાવ્યા હતા. ઘટનાની જાણ નગર પાલિકાની ટીમને થતા નગરપાલિકાની ટીમે સીટી પોલીસની મદદ લઈને સ્થાનિક વિધાનસભાની ચૂંટણીના બહિષ્કારના વિરોધના પોસ્ટર દૂર કરવા જતાં સ્થાનિક લોકો સાથે ઘર્ષણના દ્રશ્યો સર્જાયા હતા. ઘટના અંગે સ્થાનિક લોકોમાં ભારે નારાજગી જોવા મળી હતી.
રાજ્યમાં વિધાનસભાની સામાન્ય ચૂંટણી જાહેર થતા સમગ્ર રાજ્યમાં રાજકીય માહોલ જામ્યો છે. ત્યારે વલસાડ શહેરમાં અબ્રામા વિસ્તારમાં આવેલા સોના નગર વિસ્તારમાં રહેતા સ્થાનિક નાગરિકો છેલ્લા 10 વર્ષ ઉપરાંતથી સ્થાનિક સ્વરાજ સંસ્થા નગર પાલિકામાં સ્થાનિક કાઉન્સિલર દ્વારા રસ્તો બનાવવા અંગે વારંવાર રજુઆત કરવા છત્તા પાલિકા દ્વારા છેલ્લા 10 વર્ષ ઉપરાંતથી કોઈ પણ કાર્યવાહી ન થતા સોના નગર વિસ્તરમાં સ્થાનિક લોકોની નારાજગી જોવા મળી રહી છે. સ્થાનિક લોકોને રોડ નહીં તો વોટ નહી ના બેનર લગાવી વિધાનસભાની સામાન્ય ચૂંટણીનો વિરોધ કર્યો હતો. ઘટનાની જાણ નગર પાલિકાની ટીમને થતા નગર પાલિકાની ટીમે તાત્કાલિક સીટી પોલીસની ટીમની મદદ મેળવીને અબ્રામા સોના નગર વિસ્તારમાં ચૂંટણી વિરોધી બોર્ડ દૂર કરવાની તજવીજ હાથ ધરતા સ્થાનિક અગ્રણીલ અને મહિલાઓએ પાલિકાની કામગીરી સામે વિરોધ નોંધાવ્યો હતો.
