કચ્છની દરિયાઈ સીમાઓનો વર્ષોથી નાપાક તસ્કરીઓ માટે ઉપયોગ થતો આવ્યો છે ત્યારે સમયાંતરે ડીઆઈઆર (ડિપાર્ટમેંટ ઓફ રેવન્યુ ઇન્ટેલીજન્સ) દ્વારા સતર્કતા દર્શાવાઈ છે ત્યારે કચ્છના કાંઠે પાકિસ્તાનથી આવતા ડ્રગ્સને રંગે હાથે ઝડપ્યાના પ્રકરણને એક વર્ષે પુર્ણ થઈ રહ્યું છે, આ એક વર્ષેના ગાળામાં થયેલી તપાસમાં ચોંકાવનારી હકીકતો બહાર આવવા પામી છે. જેમાં કચ્છથી ઝડપાયેલો એ ડ્રગ્સનો જથ્થો ખરેખર તો કરન્સી તરીકે ઉપયોગમાં આવ્યો હતો. જેના તાર કરાંચીમાં બેઠેલા આકાઓ સુધી સીધા જોડાયેલા હોવાનું સામે આવી ચુક્યુ છે. ત્યારે કંડલામાં ન્યુક્લિયર કાર્ગો વહન કરી શકતી મિસાઈલના પાર્ટ્સ મળ્યાની ઘટના બાદ વધુ એક વાર કચ્છ આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ડિપ્લોમેટિક ટકરાવનું કેંદ્ર બની શકે તેવી સ્થિતિનું નિર્માણ થયું છે.
આ સમગ્ર પ્રકરણની વિગતો એવી છે કે એક વર્ષ પહેલા 21મે, 2019ના કચ્છના જખૌ પાસે આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય જળસીમામાં પાકિસ્તાન તરફથી આવતી એક બોટને કોસ્ટગાર્ડએ ડીઆરઆઈ, ઈન્ટેલિજન્સ ઈનપુટના આધારે ઝડપી પાડી હતી. જેમાં હેરોઈન ડ્રગ્સ ભરેલા 330 પેકેટ, 1650 કરોડ કિંમતના હતા. આ આખાય પ્રકરણમાં ત્રણથી વધારે રાષ્ટ્રીય સુરક્ષા એજન્સીઓએ એક સાથે કામ કરીને બોટ પર સવાર છ પાકિસ્તાનીઓને પકડીને આટલા સમય સુધી આકરી પુછપરછ અને તપાસનો દોર ચલાવ્યો હતો. જેમાં છ મહિના અગાઉ24 પાકિસ્તાની અને 1 ઓખાના વ્યક્તિનું આ આખાય ષડયંત્રમાં સામેલગીરી બહાર આવતા તે તમામ સામે ડિરેક્ટરોટ ઓફ રેવન્યુ ઈન્ટેલિજન્સ એજન્સીએ ન માત્ર એનડીપીએસ પણ કસ્ટમ એક્ટ તળે પણ ગુન્હો નોંધીને કાયદાનો ગાળીયો વધુ ભીંસ્યો હતો. સતત આગળ વધતી તપાસમાં કરાંચીમાં બેઠેલા ચાર કિંગપીનના નામ પણ ખુલતા ચકચાર મચી હતી.
