સિઝનનો સૌથી ઓછો પ.૫૧ ઈંચ વરસાદ તૈયાર થયેલો પાક સૂકાઈ જાય તેવી ભીતિ
ઉતર ભારતની નદીઓમાં ઘોડાપુર આવ્યા છે તો કચ્છ સહિત ગુજરાતના અન્ય જિલ્લાઓમાં પણ હાલ વરસાદ વરસવાની કોઈ આશા ન હોવાથી ખેડૂતો ચિંતિત બન્યા છે. હવામાન વિભાગે પણ શક્યતા વ્યકત કરી છે કે આગામી પાંચ દિવસ સુધી રાજયમાં સારા વરસાદની શકયતા નહિંવત છે. જો સમગ્ર સીઝન આવી રહેશે તો આગામી ઉનાળો આકરો રહેશે. લોકોને પાણી વગર વલખા મારવા પડશે.
ચોમાસાની સીઝનમાં આ વર્ષે આખુ ગુજરાત કોરૂ રહ્યુ છે. ૭ વર્ષમાં સૌથી ઓછો વરસાદ વરસ્યો છે. અને હજુ પણ કોઈ આશા નથી. ગત વર્ષે તો આ સમય સુધીમાં સરેરાશ ૧૭ ઈંચ વરસાદ સાથે બાવન ટકા વરસાદ નોંધાઈ ચુકયો હતો. જયારે આ વખતે ગુજરાતમાં માત્ર ૧૨ ઈંચ વરસાદ થયો છે. રાજયમાં આ વર્ષે ૪૪% વરસાદની ઘટ છે. કચ્છમાં પણ ખેડૂતોએ સારા વરસાદની આશા સાથે ખરીફ પાકનો વાવેતર શરૂ કરી દીધો પરંતુ હાલ મુંઝવણમાં મુકાયેલા જોવા મળે છે. ઉતર ભારતની નદીઓમાં ઘોડાપુર ઉમટી રહ્યા છે ત્યારે ગુજરાતની સ્થિતિ દયનીય બની છે. છેલ્લા પંદરેક દિવસથી તો વરસાદે સાવ વિરામ લીધો છે. જેના કારણે ખેડૂતોએ વાવેતરના ભવિષ્યને લઈને ચિંતા પડયા છે.
હવામાન વિભાગ પ્રમાણે, ઓગસ્ટના પ્રથમ સપ્તાહ સુધીમાં રાજયમાં ૫૧.૬૩ ટકા વરસાદ પડયો છે. જયારે સીઝનનો કુલ વરસાદ માત્ર ૩૬.૧૭ ટકા નોંધાયો છે.પરંતુ, ફરી વરસાદ ખેંચાતા ખરીફ પાકને નુકશાન જવાની ભિતી વ્યકત કરાઈ છે. ગુજરાતમાં હજુ ૪૪ ટકા વરસાદની ઘટ જોવા મળી રહી છે ત્યારે જુલાઈના અંતિમ સપ્તાહ બાદ વરસાદે લાંબો વિરામ લીધો છે. જેથી, ખેડૂતોની ચિંતામાં વધારો થયો છે. ખેતીની સીઝનમાં ખેડૂતોને સિંચાઈ માટે પુરતુ પાણી ન મળી શકવાના કારણે તૈયાર થયેલો પાક બગડે તેવી ચિંતા ખેડૂતોને સતાવી રહી છે.
