ઠંડા પર્વતીય વિસ્તારમાં થતી સ્ટ્રોબેરીનું કચ્છમાં સફળ વાવેતર કર્યા બાદ ભુજ તાલુકાના રેલડી ગામના ખેડૂત હરેશભાઈ ઠકકર અને કપિલભાઈ દહિયાએ 3 એકરમાં વિદેશમાં ચલણમાં હોય તેવા એક્ઝોટિક વેજીટેબલનું સફળ ઉત્પાદન કર્યું છે. તેમની વાડીએ સફેદ ઉપરાંત પીળી અને જાંબલી રંગની ફુલાવર, લેટ્યુસ, બ્રોકોલી, ઝુકીની, લાલ કોબીજ, ચાઇનીઝ કોબીજ જેવા એક્ઝોટિક વેજીટેબલનું વાવેતર કર્યું અને તેમાં સફળતા મેળવી છે. ન માત્ર વિદેશી શાકભાજી પણ સેલેરી, પારસ્લે, બેઝીલ લીવ્ઝ જેવા હર્બનું પણ વાવેતર કર્યું છે.
