યુવરાજ સિંહે આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ક્રિકેટમાંથી સંન્યાસ લીધો, કર્યું એલાન
ભારતીય ક્રિકેટ ટીમના યુવરાજ સિંહે આજે આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ક્રિકેટમાંથઈ સંન્યાસ લઈ લીધો છે. ભારતને 2011ના વર્લ્ડ કપમાં અને 2007 ટી20 વર્લ્ડ પમાં જીત અપાવવામાં યુવરાજ સિંહે મહત્વની ભૂમિકા નિભાવી હતી. ભારતીય ટીમમાં વાપસીની ઉમ્મીદ ન રાખી યુવરાજ સિંહે આખરે આજે ઈન્ટરનેશનલ ક્રિકેટમાંથી સંન્યાસની ઘોષણા કરી દીધી છે.
આઈપીએલમાં માત્ર 4 મેચ મળી
જણાવી દઈએ કે યુવરાજ સિંહની આ વર્ષે આઈપીએલમાં મુંબઈ ઈન્ડિયન્સ તરફથી બોલી લાગી હતી અને તે પણ આખરી સમયે. તેમણે આઈપીએલ શરૂ થતા પહેલા જ સ્પષ્ટ કરી દીધું હતું કે તેમનું ફોર્મ પહેલા જેવું નથી રહ્યું તથા વર્લ્ડ કપનો ભાગ બની શકે તો તેઓ સંન્યાસ લઈ લેશે. યુવરાજને આઈપીએલમાં પણ માત્ર 4 મેચ રમવા મળ્યા હતા અને બાકીની આખી સિઝનમાં તેમણે બહાર બેસવાનો વારો આવ્યો હતો. બીસીસીઆઈના સીનિયર અધિકારીએ હાલમાં જ કહ્યું હતું કે યુવરાજ સિંહ આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ક્રિકેટની સાથે ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ ક્રિકેટથી પણ સંન્યાસ લેવા વિશે વિચારી રહ્યા છે.
હાલમાં જ યુવરાજ સિંહને કેટલીક વિદેશી ટી20 લીગ રમવા માટે પણ ઑફર આવી છે તો એવામાં તેઓ સંન્યાસ લીધા બાદ ત્યાં રમતા દેખાઈ શકે છે. બીસીસીઆઈના એક સીનિયર અધિકારીએ હાલમાં જ જણાવ્યું હતું કે યુવરાજ આંરરાષ્ટ્રીય અને ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ શ્રેણી ક્રિકેટથી સંન્યાસ લેવા વિશે વિચારી રહ્યા છે.
કેન્સર બાદ મોતને હરાવ્યું અને વર્લ્ડ કપ પણ જીતાવ્યો
ઓલરાઉન્ડર યુવરાજ સિંહે 2000માં આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ક્રિકેટમાં ડેબ્યૂ કર્યું હતું. એવું કહી શકીએ કે તેમના વિના 2011 વર્લ્ડ કપ જીતવો સહેલો નહોતો. તેમણે 2007 ટી20 વર્લ્ડકપમાં પણ મહત્વની ભૂમિકા નિભાવી હતી. અને અત્યાર સુધીના તેઓ એકમાત્ર એવા ખેલાડી છે જેમણે ટી20 ફોર્મેટમાં એક જ ઓવરમાં 6 સિક્સર લગાવ્યા હોય. તે બાદ આ 37 વર્ષીય ખેલાડી કેન્સર સામે જંગ લગ્યો, અને 2011માં દેશને વર્લ્ડ કપ પણ અપાવ્યો અને મેન ઑફ ધી ટૂર્નામેન્ટ પણ રહ્યા. તેમણે ભારત માટે છેલ્લો આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મેચ 2017માં રમ્યો હતો.
