આગામી બે દિવસમાં સૌરાષ્ટ્ર-કચ્છના દરિયાકાંઠે વાવાઝોડું ત્રાટકવાની સંભાવના, ૮૦ થી ૧૦૦ કિ.મી.ની ઝડપે ફૂંકાશે પવન
ગુજરાતના વેરાવળથી દક્ષિણ-દક્ષિણ પૂર્વ દિશામાં ૯૩૦ કિ.મી. દૂર વાવાઝોડું આકાર લઇ રહ્યું છે, જેની સંભવિત પરિસ્થિતિને ધ્યાને લઇ મહેસૂલ વિભાગના અધિક મુખ્ય સચિવ પંકજકુમારે એક સમીક્ષા બેઠકમાં સમગ્ર પરિસ્થિતિનો તાગ મેળવ્યો હતો.
આ બેઠકમાં પંકજકુમારે રાજ્યના વિવિધ વિભાગોને સંકલનમાં રહીને સંભવિત વાવાઝોડાની સ્થિતિનો સામનો કરવા માટે એક માઇક્રો પ્લાનીંગ તૈયાર કરવા અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો. આ બેઠકમાં ભારતના હવામાન ખાતાના હવામાનશાસ્ત્રી શ્રી જયંત સરકારે વાવાઝોડાની સ્થિતિ વિશે વિશેષ માહિતી આપી હતી. જે મુજબ વેરાવળથી દક્ષિણ-અગ્નિ દિશામાં ૯૩૦ કિ.મી. દૂર જે ડિપ્રેશન સર્જાયું હતું તે હાલ ડીપ ડિપ્રેશનમાં પરિવર્તિત થયું છે અને આગામી ૧૨ તારીખ સુધીમાં તે વાવાઝોડાનું સ્વરૂપ ધારણ કરવાની પૂરી સંભાવના છે.
આ વાવાઝોડું ખાસ કરીને સૌરાષ્ટ્ર-કચ્છ વિસ્તારના દરિયાઇ-કાંઠાળા વિસ્તારને વધુ અસર કરશે. વાવાઝોડા દરમિયાન સમુદ્રના મોજાં બે મીટરથી વધુ ઉછળવાની સંભાવના છે. પવનની ઝડપ ૮૦ કિ.મી.થી વધીને ૧૦૦ કિ.મી. સુધી પહોંચવાની સંભાવના છે. કેટલાંક વિસ્તારોમાં પાંચ-સાત ઇંચ જેટલો ભારે વરસાદ પડવાની પણ સંભાવના છે.
એનડીઆરએફ જવાને જણાવ્યું હતું કે વાવાઝોડાને પગલે એનડીઆરએફની ટીમો ગાંધીનગરથી રવાના થઈ રહી છે. આ ટીમ પોતાની સાથે કલ્પનામાં ન આવે એ પ્રકારના સાધનો પોતાની સાથે લઇ જઇ રહ્યા છે. એનડીઆરએફએ પોતાની સાથે એક નાના કટરથી માંડીને દરિયામાં કે પાણીનાં પ્રવાહમાં ફસાયેલા લોકોને બચાવવા માટેના તમામ સાધનો પોતાની કીટમાં સામેલ કર્યા છે. વાવાઝોડું આવે અને દિવાલ ધરાશાયી થાય તો જેમાં ફસાયેલા લોકોને દિવાલ કાપીને બચાવી શકાય તેવા સાધનો પણ છે અને દિવાલ ધરાશાયી થયા પછી એના કાટમાળમાં કોઈ જીવ છે કે નહીં તે પણ ચકાસવા માટેના કેમેરા એનડીઆરએફ પાસે છે. અસાધારણ સંજોગોમાં મોબાઇલ નેટવર્કથી માંડીને વીજળી સુધી દૂર થઈ જાય તો તે સમયે સેટેલાઈટ ફોન અને જનરેટર સુધીની તમામ સાધનો એનડીઆરએફની કીટમાં સામેલ..
