ડભોઇ તાલુકાના ફરતીકુઇ ગામ પાસે આવેલી દર્શન હોટલના ખાળકૂવાની સફાઇ કરવાં ઉતરેલાં પિતા-પુત્ર સહિત 7 મજૂરોના મોત નીપજ્યાં છે. ઝેરી ગેસના કારણે મોત નીપજ્યાં હોવાનું પ્રાથમિક તપાસમાં બહાર આવ્યું છે. વડોદરા અને ડભોઇ ફાયર બ્રિગેડે 6 કલાકની ભારે જહેમત બાદ દોરડાથી મૃતદેહ બહાર કાઢ્યા હતા. મળતી માહિતી પ્રમાણે ઝેરી ગેસની અસર થતા એક મજૂર ખાળકૂવામાં ઢળી પડ્યો હતો. તેને બચાવવા માટે અન્ય 6 મજૂર ખાળકૂવામાં ઉતર્યા હતા. પરંતુ તેઓ પણ એક બાદ એક મોતને ભેટ્યા હતા. મોડી રાત્રે બનેલી ઘટનાની જાણ ઉચ્ચ પોલીસ અધિકારીઓ તાત્કાલિક ઘટનાસ્થળે દોડી આવ્યા હતા.
બનાવ અંગે ડભોઇ પોલીસે અકસ્માતે મોતનો ગુનો નોંધી આગળની તપાસ હાથ ધરી છે.ડભોઇ તાલુકાના ફરતીકૂઇ ગામ પાસે દર્શન હોટલ આવેલી છે. આ હોટલના માલિક હસન અબ્બાસ છે. મોડીરાતે હોટલ સ્થિત ખાળકૂવો સાફ કરવા માટે થુવાવી ગામના વસાવા ફળિયામાં રહેતા પિતા-પુત્ર સહિત 4 અને હોટલના ત્રણ કર્મચારીઓ ઉતર્યા હતા. ખાળકૂવામાં ઉતરતાની સાથેજ તમામને ઝેરી ગેસની અસર થતાં તેઓ ખાળકૂવામાં ડૂબી ગયા હતા અને મોતને ભેટ્યા હતા.CM રૂપાણીએ સમગ્ર ઘટનામાં જિલ્લાતંત્રમાં તપાસ કરવાના આદેશ કર્યા છે.
આ સાથે રૂપાણીએ મૃતકોના પરિવારને 4 લાખ રૂપિયાની સહાયની જાહેરાત કરી છે.રાજ્યના મુખ્યમંત્રી વિજય રૂપાણીએ ડભોઇ નજીક આવેલા દર્શન હોટલનો ખાળ કૂવો સાફ કરવા ઉતરેલા 7 શ્રમિકોના અપમૃત્યુ અંગે શોકની લાગણી વ્યકત કરી છે. અને સાતેય મૃતક શ્રમજીવીઓના પરિવારજનોને 4-4 લાખ રૂપિયાની સહાય આપવાની જાહેરાત કરી છે. આ ઉપરાંત દર્શન હોટલના સંચાલક સામે પણ કડક કાયદેસરની કાર્યવાહી કરવાની સૂચના વડોદરા જિલ્લા તંત્રને આપી છે. વિજય રૂપાણી નીતિ આયોગની બેઠક માટે દિલ્હીની મુલાકાતે ગયા છે, જ્યાં તેમને દુર્ઘટનાની જાણ થતાં તેઓએ મૃતકો પ્રત્યે સંવેદના વ્યક્ત કરી હતી.
