હવે તો કાગની ડોળે ભારત અને પાકિસ્તાન વચ્ચેના મુકાબલાની લોકો રાહ જોઈ રહ્યા છે. ભારત બે મેચ જીતી ચુકયું છે. ન્યુઝિલેન્ડ વિરુદ્ઘ મેચ વરસાદની ભેંટ ચઢી ગઈ હતી. હવે છે ભારતની મેચ નંબર ચાર. ભલે ભારતીય કપ્તાન કોહલી અને પાકિસ્તાન કપ્તાન સરફરાઝ કહી ચુકયા હોય કે આ બાકી મેચો જેવી જ હશે. પરંતુ, તેમને પણ ખબર છે કે, આવુ છે નહી. આમ તો, બ્રોડકાસ્ટર સ્ટાર સ્પોર્ટ્સે લગભગ તમામ સ્લોટ વેચી દીધા છે. પરંતુ, જે સ્લોટ બચ્યા છે, તેમની કિંમત ૩૫ લાખ રૂપિયા બતાવવામાં આવી રહી છે. સામાન્ય રીતે ભારતની મેચમાં દસ સેકન્ડના સ્લોટની કિંમત દસથી ૧૨ લાખ રૂપિયા છે. આશા વર્તાવવામાં આવી રહી છે કે, બ્રોડકાસ્ટરને આ મેચમાં વિજ્ઞાપનથી ૩૫-૩૦ કરોડની કમાણી થશે. અંગ્રેજી સમાચાર પત્ર ઈકોનોમી ટાઈમ્સ અનુસાર, ત્રણથી ચાર ટકા સ્લોટ વેચ્યા છે, જેને પ્રીમિયમ રેટ પર સ્ટાર સ્પોર્ટ્સ વેચી રહ્યું છે. લગભગ ૮૫ ટકા સ્લોટ રૂટિન પ્રક્રિયા હેઠળ બુક થઈ ચુકયા છે. વેચેલા ૧૫ ટકા સ્લોટ પ્રીમિયમ રેટ પર બુક કરવામાં આવી રહ્યા છે. હવે ત્રણથી ચાર ટકા સ્લોટ બચ્યા છે, જેના માટે ૩૫ લાખ રૂપિયાની માંગ છે. જે મેચોમાં ભારત નથી, તેના સ્લોટ છથી સાડા છ લાખમાં વેચાઈ રહ્યા છે. આ આંકડા પરથી માલુમ થાય છે કે, ભારત-પાકિસ્તાન મેચને લઈ સ્પોન્સર અથવા કંપનીઓમાં કેવી પ્રકારની હોડ છે. વિરાટ કોહલીને આ મેચને લઈ પુછવામાં આવ્યું હતું. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, તમે જયાં સુધી મેદાનની બહાર છો, તો દબાણનો અહેસાસ થાય છે. ખાસરીતે એવા ખેલાડી વધારે દબાણમાં રહે છે, જે પહેલા કયારે પણ ભારત-પાકિસ્તાન મેચનો ભાગ નથી બન્યા. પરંતુ, એક વખત મેદાન પર ઉતર્યા બાદ તે બાકી મેચ જેવી જ લાગે છે. એ અલગ વાત છે કે, સ્ટેન્ડ્સમાં માહોલ પૂરી રીતે અલગ હોય છે. પાકિસ્તાનના કપ્તાને પણ આ વાતનો સ્વીકાર કર્યો છે. સ્ટાર સ્પોર્ટ્સ પાસે ભારતીય ઉપ મહાદ્વીપમાં વર્લ્ડ કપના પ્રસારણનો અધિકાર છે. મેચનું પ્રસારણ અને કોમેન્ટ્રી સ્ટાર સ્પોર્ટ્સ અને હોટ સ્ટાર પર સાત ભાષાઓમાં કરવામાં આવશે. આ ભાષાઓ છે – અંગ્રેજી, હિંદી, તમિલ, તેલુગુ, કન્નડ, મલયાલમ અને બાંગ્લા. સ્ટાર સ્પોર્ટ્સના સીઈઓ ગૌતમ ઠક્કરે સમાચારપત્રને જણાવ્યું કે, ભારત અને પાકિસ્તાન વચ્ચે મેચમાં દર્શકોની સંખ્યા ખુબ મોટી હોય છે. તેમાં એડના રેટ્સ પણ વધારે હોય છે. મોટાભાગની ઈન્વેન્ટરી વેચાઈ ચુકી છે. પાકિસ્તાનની ટીમો મેચ રમતી નથી. એવામાં બંને દેશો વચ્ચેની મેચને લઈ ઉત્સાહ ખુબ વધારે હોય છે. ભારત-પાકિસ્તાન મુકાબલો આ બંને દેશોમાંજ નહી, ક્રિકેટ રમતા તમામ દેશોમાં ખુબ લોકપ્રિય છે. ૨૦૧૫ના વર્લ્ડ કપમાં પણ બંને ટીમ વચ્ચેની મેચ ખુબ જોવામાં આવી હતી. એટલું જ નહીં વિશ્વ કપના ઈતિહાસમાં સૌથી વધારે જોવામાં આવતી મેચના લીસ્ટમાં તે બીજા નંબર પર હતી. ટૈમ પાસેથી મળેલા આંકડા અનુસાર, આ મેચ ૨૮૮ મિલીયન લોકોએ જોઈ હતી..
